How to Maintain Fuel Injectors on 2.0 and 2.4L Engines on 2010 Dodge Avenger?

First, disable fuel system pressure on your 2.0 or 2.4L engine by following the regular fuel pressure release guide. Keep the car in a place with plenty of air, away from anything that can ignite and brace yourself not to smoke to stay safe. Shut off the negative battery cable and take out the electrical connections from the fuel injectors. After that, unplug the fuel line from the fuel rail and remove it. Take off the wire harness from the fuel rail mounting studs and remove the two bolts that hold the fuel rail to the lower manifold. After taking off the fuel rail, remove the clip holding the fuel injector to it and then pull the fuel injector clip and injector out together.
