How to Service the Fuel Rail on 2.0 and 2.4L Engines on 2010 Dodge Avenger?

For 2.0 or 2.4L engine, to service the fuel rail wear protective clothing and eye protection to protect you from injury when fuel contact occurs. Make sure to wrap shop towels around the hose to catch any spillage of gasoline. Release the fuel system pressure and, second, disconnect the negative battery cable. Secondly, the fuel line from the fuel rail should be disconnected, observing the Quick Connect Fitting procedure. Remove the fuel line and then unlock and disconnect any electrical connectors from the fuel injectors disconnect the wiring harness from the studs on the fuel rail. Take out the fuel rail from the intake manifold, by removing the 2 bolts securing fuel rail and then proceed to remove the injectors. Last of all, remove the fuel injectors out of the fuel rail.
