2010 Dodge Challenger Fuel Injector Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair Fuel Injectors on a 3.5L Engine on 2010 Dodge Challenger?
A: Proper technique for fuel injector service and repair on a 3.5L engine is to discharge pressure from the fuel system first. Get the negative connector off the battery and pull out the intake manifold plenum to access the fuel rail assembly. Block the intake manifold to keep contaminants from reaching your engine. Unplug the tube for fuel on the intake manifold which is positioned at the rear. If you do not know what cylinder corresponds to each injector connector, add tags to them for easy identification. Unplug the fuel injectors from the electricity, remove the mounting bolts from the fuel rail and lift the whole rail up straight from the cylinder head. Pull off the retaining clips from the fuel injectors at the fuel rail and carefully remove the injectors. Carry out these steps for the remaining injectors you find during disassembly. The last thing to check is the injector O-rings; if a O-ring is broken, it needs to be changed along with the damaged injector clip.
