2010 Dodge Grand Caravan Tie Rod End Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Tie Rod End on 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan?
A: For outer tie rod service and repair, secure the outer tie rod to the inner tie rod threads, counting the same rotations as during removal to get a recalibrated toe setting. Then, place the outer tie rod onto the knuckle and begin tightening the nut into the tie rod stud, keeping the stud still with your hand. Fix your torque wrench to 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.) by using a crowfoot wrench on the nut. Get the tie rod jam nut tight enough for now; tighten them to the right torque during the wheel alignment process. Fit the tire and wheel onto the car and secure the nuts with a torque applied at a value of 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs.). When the vehicle is sitting on the ground, do the wheel alignment, checking toe adjustment to belong to the vehicle manufacturer's instructions.
