  • Q: How to install a Brake Light Switch on Chrysler 300?
    A:
Before installing the switch, pull the plunger on the switch all the way out. Push the stop lamp switch down with one hand and pull the plunger to its full length with your other hand. After that, plug the wiring harness connector (1) into the stop lamp switch (2). Point the stop lamp switch into the bracket beneath the brake pedal and press the brake pedal as low as it will go. Position the switch so that its index key is in the notch inside the square mounting hole and rotate the switch a half turn clockwise until you hear it lock. Watch your foot on the brake, as using too much power can easily break the stop lamp switch or striker. When the brake pedal is stopped, the switch plunger will return to the right place. Also, inspect that the brake lights turn on when the brake is applied and check the speed settings are working correctly.
