Chrysler 300M Dimmer Switch Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Dimmer Switch on Chrysler 300M?
    A:
Begin by opening the hood and unattaching the negative battery cable remote terminal from the remote battery post. After that, unplug the tilt lever and take off both the upper and lower steering column covers. Afterward, remove the multi-function switch mounting screws and connectors. First, join the multi-function wiring to the switch connectors and secure them with the mounting screws. Tighten the retaining screws to 17 in. lbs. (2 Nm) torque. Once that's done, put back the upper and lower steering column shrouds, then attach the tilt lever. The next step is to reconnect the black (negative) terminal from the battery to the battery post that's remote.
