Check the place of the valve stem between the wheel nut row and the wheel itself and then take out the three wheel mounting nuts which secure the wheel cover to the wheel and hub. Rather than trying to open the wheel cover with force, first pull the wheel cover outward at the edges that match the wheel nuts which are still inside and the two retaining tabs should open. Fasten the wheel mounting nuts onto the studs so the wheel cover can be easily fitted in position. Make sure the valve notch in the wheel cover is lined up with the valve stem and that the wheel's holes are aligned with the two retaining tabs over the nuts. Push the wheel cover down where it aligns with the front of the wheels, while keeping pressure in the middle of the cover, for the tabs to fasten to the previous wheel nuts. After that, mount and partially tighten the three remaining nuts and afterward, tighten each wheel mounting nut in the proper order so the total torque is 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs.).
