First, know that if your seat frame is loaded and the lock isstrong, you may notice a loose locking pawl, the pawl is stuck in the inside seat frame, only one side of the height adjuster is functional or there is a broken or missing shear pin. If you observe any of these symptoms, simply replace the height adjuster assembly, since fixing it could injure or kill you. Place the front tilt motor on the seat adjuster, fit the fasteners and tighten the screws to 5 Nm (44 in. lbs.) Hook up the motor wire, seat the cushion, affix the wire harness to the pan, firmly hold the seat assembly in, attach the battery negative cable and go through a normal cycle of the power seat assembly. For the height adjust motor, ensure the seat adjuster is fully raised, position the motor on the seat adjuster, install the motor shaft screw and washer without torquing, and then install the screws to hold the motor to the seat adjuster, twisting the motor slightly if necessary to align the fastener holes. Tighten the motor's base screws to 9 Nm (80 in. lbs.) while beginning with the main screw and then tighten the screw and washer attached to the motor shaft to 6.5 Nm (57.5 in. lbs.). Connect the motor's wires, secure the cushion to the frame, clip the wire harness near the cushion, attach the seat frame, join the negative battery cable and ensure the power seat controls work normally.
