Start by raising the front of the hood on the replacement side and mark all the places where you'll need to put the bolts and hinge with a grease pencil so it goes easily. First, remove the cowl cover and then, in order, take out the hood bolts, the ones attaching the hinge to the front fender flange and the last ones keep the hinge in place. If you want, paint the hinge before installing it and place it onto the vehicle before fastening with the bolts to the top of the front fender flange. Next, insert the bolts in place, making sure everything you marked lines up and secure them all. The hood should have a 4 mm (0.160 in.) space from the front fenders and be level along the fenders with the top surfaces. You can put shims under the hinges to get that height. Then, put on the cowl cover and examine the
Hood Latch to be certain everything is working as it should.
