The Power Distribution Center (PDC) shares a unit with the engine compartment wire harness, so a fault or damage to any internal circuit or the PDC housing requires the whole unit to be replaced. The first step is to take the link off the negative remote
Battery Cable and then remove each connector from the wire harnesses under the hood. Take out the bolts holding the harness ground eyelets to the chassis and body and loosen the clips retaining the harness to these areas. Take out one PDC screw and then force the locking tabs in on the PDC base to remove the whole unit which includes the PDC, the engine compartment wire harness and the engine mount. Switch each
Fuse, fuse cartridge, fusible link and relay from the old PDC to the correct holes in the new PDC. Lower the PDC into place over the bracket in the engine bay, bring the mounting slots on the PDC together with the blades on the bracket and force it down until it snaps into position. Take the engine compartment wire harness from the PDC through the engine compartment, fit each retainer onto the matching holders in the vehicle's body and chassis and secure the clip into the rail behind the PDC. Place and tighten the fasteners that hold each wire harness ground eyelet to the body and chassis of the vehicle, then put back and connect every wire harness connector. Tighten the nut on the PDC's positive battery cable to 96 - 141 Nm (85 - 130 in. lbs.) and secure the battery's negative remote cable once again.
