  Take out the halfshaft from the car and remove both of the retaining clamps from the inner CV boot boot first. Place the halfshaft into a vise and then use the right tool to separate the inner CV joint cover from the bearing retainer. Take the slide the CV boot away from the seal inside the wheel and carefully remove the inner seal from the bearing retainer using the right tool. Slide all three parts of the universal joint motion down the axle shaft to the other side of the inner bearing. Take the circlip off the axle shaft and then remove the CV joint bearing by pressing it with a press tool. Following that, pull the bearing retainer, inner seal and inner CV boot off the axle shaft. While installing, examine the CV joint for signs of wear or pitting, change it out as required and clean any road dust from the splines on the axle. Before you place the boot on the shaft, cover its splines so the boot is not damaged during installation. Slide the inner boot onto the axle and then pull off the cover from the axle's splines. Put the new CV joint bearing onto the axle shaft and fasten it by putting the circlip in place. Stuff some grease from the repair kit into the space around the bearing when you have your bearing out. At the same time, put a bead of sealant on the encircling sealing area of the inner joint ring. Connecting the inner seal, press a mallet on the cover while you install the CV boot inside the seal's groove. Put on each retaining clamp inside and outside the boot, then make sure the crimping tool jaws are closely together. Squeeze the new CV boot retaining clamp and then lower the halfshaft into place.

  Before replacing the outer CV boot, first remove the halfshaft and take the inner CV boot off the vehicle. Then, remove the outer boot retaining clamps and move the boot up the axle shaft to take it off the inner seal and finally pull the outer CV boot from the axle. Fill both ends of the cavity with the grease in the kit, then seat the outer CV boot into place on the sealed inner joint. Handle the CV boot, place the inner and outer retaining clamps on the ends and confirm the crimping tool is lined up on the retaining clamp properly. You should squeeze the jaws of the crimping tool until they are completely shut before applying the CV boot clamp. After that, fit the halfshaft into the vehicle.
