How to Install a Rear Exterior Door Handle on Chrysler Pacifica?

The first step in the installation of the rear door exterior handle is to place the outside handle assembly inside the inner door panel. Ensure the screws securing the outside handle assembly and the outside handle bracket to the outer door panel are tightened to a torque of 4 Nm (37 in lbs). In the next step, take the pivot leg of the handle and insert it into the front access hole while moving the rear of the handle toward the outer panel until it makes contact. Then, push forward on the handle it will snap in place. Install the screw that secures the outside door handle cover to the outside handle bracket. Next, attach the clip that connects the door lock linkage to the outside door handle, followed by the clip for the door latch linkage. Verify the opening and closing of the outside handle and install the watershield to gain access to the outside door handle if necessary. After that, install the door trim panel and check the operation of the door handle assembly, making any necessary adjustments to the outside door handle.
