Remove and isolate the battery negative cable before you try to take out the instrument panel assembly. After that, take out the center console closeout panel and then the front floor console assembly. Remove the two L-brackets screws and take off the nuts binding the floor braces to the instrument panel. Uncover the steering column opening and take off the four inflatable knee blocker screws. After detaching the trim outlet screws, pull back on the trim stick from the C-4755 set to free the locking tabs of the instrument panel trim plate. Pull the braking brake handle away from the brake park release bracket as you leave the rod attached. Get rid of the instrument panel reinforcement and unplug both the bulkhead and body control module connector harnesses. Disconnect the upper and lower shrouds from the steering column, unplug the connectors under the bonnet and remove the steering column pinch bolt and nuts (4).
