  To service and repair the front door latch striker, the installation of the door latch striker on the B-pillar has to be marked. In order to remove the mechanical door lock from the vehicle, it is a 10mm bolt attached to the B-pillar lockdown catch. In the case of the convertible, detach the two screws that link the door latch striker to the B-pillar. When you install for the coupe, place the door latch striker into the door then install the screws that attach it to the B-pillar. Position the door latch striker according to the outline marks on the B-pillar and tighten screws. Ensure the door is on track, and realign if required. To carry out the installation of the door latch striker in the convertible, the door latch striker needs to be fitted into the door and to the B-pillar, screws need to be attached loosely, the striker needs to be aligned with the outline marks, screws need to be tightened, and the door alignment needs to be checked, adjusting it as required.
