Chrysler Sebring Coolant Reservoir is an essential component of the car oil cooler system since it regulates the extra coolant fluid and shuts out air in the oil cooler system. This tends to eliminate chances of rust and corrosion in the cooling parts which might result to dangerous antifreeze leakage. The reservoir is usually a plastic tank that is usually fixed on the radiator and it has molded level indication markings. Chrysler Sebring models utilize two primary types of Coolant Reservoirs: low pressure tanks, high pressure tanks, booster tank, buffer tank and finally the overflow and expansion tank systems. The overflow system utilizes a radiator pressure cap which ideally directs the coolant to a basic plastic container whenever designed pressure is exceeded. On the other hand, the expansion tank system is pressurized and thus contains a heavier reinforced plastic tank with pressure cap mounted on it. The idea is to allow for growth of coolant and at the meantime excluding air from getting into the coolant. The Coolant Reservoir should be taken to the workshop periodically for inspection of cracks and leaks with awesome performance in Chrysler Sebring vehicles.

Chrysler Sebring Coolant Reservoir Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service the Coolant Reservoir for a 2.0L/2.4L Engine on Chrysler Sebring?
    A:
You need to remove the Power Steering Reservoir attaching screw and the air conditioning receiver/dryer attaching screw before accessing the coolant recovery container of a 2.0L/2.4L engine. Then, take the washer hose out of the place where it is attached to the coolant recovery container and remove the overflow hose from where it is attached to the outlet connector. After that, take off the screws that are holding the coolant recovery container in place and remove the container. Put the container where you want it and attach it by screwing it in place. Attach the overflow hose back to the area where the coolant goes out and put the washer hose into the container's groove. After that, attach the air conditioning, dryer and power steering reservoir screws and fill the cooling system.
  • Q: How to Maintain the Coolant Reservoir for a 2.0L/2.4L Engine on Chrysler Sebring?
    A:
Before servicing the coolant recovery container of a 2.0L/2.4L engine, remove both the power steering attaching screw and the air conditioning receiver/dryer attaching screw. Then, take off one end of the washer hose from the coolant recovery container and remove the overflow hose from the coolant outlet connector. After that, take out the screws from the coolant recovery container and remove it from the system. For installation, attach the container with the screws after placing it in position. Attach the overflow hose to the coolant outlet connector and slips the washer hose into the container's groove. Afterwards, replace the attaching screw for the air conditioning receiver/dryer and the Power Steering Reservoir, then fill the cooling system.
