First, take away the rear door trim panel to service and fix the latch. After that, pull up the glass part of the door and, through the access hole in the carrier plate, disconnect the clips securing the linkage rods to the latch. Take out the electrical connectors if your latch has them. After that, pull the linkage rods out of the latch. After that, remove the two screws that hold latch 2 to the door end frame and carefully take out the latch.

Place the trim panel into place on the inside of the doors.
