Following installation of a new or repaired transaxle, fill it to the proper level with Mopar ATF Plus (Automatic Transaxle Type 9602) or Dia ATF SPII or equivalent automatic transaxle fluid. To test oil cooler flow, disconnect the cooler line at the transaxle and place a collecting container under the disconnection. When the fluid is at the right level, ensure that the fluid collection does not exceed one quart because it can cause internal damage to the transaxle. With the shift selector in neutral, run the engine at curb idle speed. If fluid flow is sporadic or longer than 20 seconds to collect a quart of the ATF, replace it with a cooler. If flow is acceptable, reconnect cooler line and fill transaxle to appropriate level with approved type automatic transaxle fluid.
