Chrysler Voyager Ignition Lock Cylinder Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair an Ignition Lock Cylinder on Chrysler Voyager?
    A:
When fixing or repairing an ignition switch ignition lock cylinder, make sure to take out the negative cable from the battery first. Pull out the screws securing the steering column cover and after that remove the screws in the shrouds plus the lower shroud. Hold the ignition lock cylinder in the RUN position, push down the lock cylinder retaining tab found at the bottom of the housing and remove the ignition lock cylinder. Put your key in the keyhole and turn it to let the retaining tab on the ignition lock cylinder descent. Turn the socket on the housing to the Run position because this sets the socket up to match the shaft on your ignition lock cylinder. Put the cylinder into place, ensuring it fits exactly in the lock-receiving grooves and slide it in until the tab comes out the other side. Turn OFF on the key and then pull it out. First, attach the lower steering column shroud, then place the steering column cover in place and lastly reattach the negative cable to the battery.
