  Open the Throttle Body lever in the wide open position before beginning the throttle cable and linkage service. After taking out the throttle cable from the throttle body cam, get into the car to support the pedal while you take out the cable retainer and throttle cable at the pedal's top. Then remove the retainer clip attached to the throttle cable and grommet within the dash panel and pull both cable and grommet out of the engine compartment. You need to squeeze both of the retaining ears on the throttle bracket together to separate the throttle cable from it or if your bike has a slide snap style snap retaining tab, take the tab out of the hole in the bracket and remove the cable assembly. Begin installation by inserting both the housing end fitting and the grommet into the car's dash panel, checking that the grommet is correct in place. Attach the cable housing near the throttle body to the working pivot on the engine. Within the car, push down again on the pedal and insert the throttle cable and retainer at the higher end of the shaft. Place the cable retainer clip between the end of the throttle cable fitting and grommet at the dash panel, turn the throttle wide open and secure the cable into the engine compartment.

  The first step to servicing or repairing the throttle cable and linkage is to hold the Throttle Body throttle lever in the wide open position in the engine compartment. Clamp the throttle body cam, take the cable off the throttle body, go inside the car, hold up the pedal and undo the retainer and cable from the top end of the pedal shaft. After that, unhook the retainer clip from the cable and grommet at the dash panel and pull both parts out through the engine compartment. Press down on each retaining ear at the same time to free the throttle cable from the throttle bracket or remove the cable assembly by taking the locking tab out of the slide snap hole. Pushing the housing end fitting toward the back of the vehicle and the grommet into the dash panel makes sure both are lined up correctly. Guide the portion of the housing next to the throttle into the engine mounting bracket. After steering, use the pedal to post and set up the whole throttle cable and cable retainer on the shaft at the top. Attach the cable retainer clip at the dash panel between the throttle cable and grommet and from the engine side, turn the throttle lever wide open till it's assembled.
