Be sure to take the negative cable off the battery before working on or fixing the throttle body. Later, take out the air inlet and unplug the throttle from the throttle control cables which are attached to the lever and bracket. Take off the wires from the idle air control motor and throttle position sensor (TPS). After that, unfasten all of the attaching bolts, get rid of the throttle body and remove the gasket, too. First, attach a new gasket and set the throttle body in place, tightening the mounting bolts to 28.2 Nm/250 ± 50 in. lbs. Attach the electrical connections from the idle air control motor and TPS to the main cable, secure the air inlet to the throttle body hose clamp and tighten it and put the negative cable back on the battery.
