  Open the battery box and unscrew the negative cable, to begin replacing the front washer pump/motor. Raise the hood and remove the fresh air housing near the thermostat housing. Then, detach the washer hose from its in-line connector forward of the cowl grille, keeping the connector with the hose from the fresh air plenum. After that, unclip the hose from the fender side shield and remove the screw on the filler tube. After raising and supporting the car properly, remove the wheel and tire assembly. Take off the left right front wheelhouse splash shield and move it away from the car. To clear the washer fluid from the reservoir, remove the windshield washer hose, connect a short hose between the pump and reservoir and allow fluids to drain. Loosen the straps on the electrical body harness to the washer pump motors and fluid level sensor by opening the red button, pushing the black tab and gently pulling the cable connectors out. Unfasten the two reservoir securing screws and separate the reservoir from the body mount by raising it, letting it drop and releasing the filler neck and front washer hose through the front fender fender shield hole. Remove the pump from the reservoir by pulling the top clip down and then lifting the pump from the grommet without touching the bottom of the pump and without piercing the reservoir. Get rid of the pump grommet. To install, place a new grommet and linked up pump assembly in the reservoir so the upper retention tab is pressed into the slot, the pump is level and the unit's connector is pointing up. Once the filler and front washer hose have been passed through the front fender shield from above, join the reservoir to the body mount and lower it down. Place the two reservoir mounting screws, then tighten them with a torque wrench to between 75 and 100 in. lbs. which is 8.5-11.3 Nm. Link the electrical connectors in the harness to the pump motors and level sensor again and then push the red lock to secure them. Check that the hose for your washer won't be pinched when it is properly connected. Slide the splash shield on the left and right front wheelhouses back onto the car, replace the tire and wheel assembly in the right front position and slowly bring the car down from the hoist or jack stands. Place the filler tube screw and tighten it to 8.5 - 11.3 Nm (75 - 100 in. lbs.). Fasten the hose to the clip on the lower side of the front fender side shield and again forward of the cowl grille connector. Reinstall the air housing for the engine and attach the negative battery cable before checking system operation.

  First, stop the flow of electricity to the pump by disconnecting and isolating the battery's negative cable. Take off the engine fresh air housing from the engine. Detach the washer hose from the connector ahead of the grille, checking that it stays with the washer feed from the plenum and also break it free from the hose clip near the front of the side shield on the side of the vehicle's hood. Eliminate the filler tube screw and then roll the vehicle under a hoist or jack stands for support. Remove the right front wheel and tire and pull the left front wheel house splash shield away from the wheelhouse. Remove washer fluid from the reservoir by separating the washer hose from the pump, placing a jumper hose at the front washer pump and running the fluid into a clean container. Use a latch to press down on each hose and pull it out to remove the rear washer pump and the high-pressure headlamp washer pump. To remove the body harness from the pump motors and level sensor, unlock the red catch, depress the black button and pull the connector away. Remove the screws holding the reservoir to the engine block and gently raise and lower the reservoir so the filler neck and front hose can be pulled out through the fender side shield. Lift the pump out of the reservoir carefully, so that you don't harm its sealing surface or make a hole in the reservoir and then throw away the pump grommet. While installing the pump, use a fresh grommet and follow these steps: insure the upper tab of the pump is fully seated in the reservoir slot and press it in. Insert the filler neck and washer hose into the opening in the front fender side shield, attach the reservoir to the body mount and seal the two reservoir mounting screws to 8.5 - 11.3 N.m (75 - 100 in. lbs.). Join the electrical body harness connectors onto the washer pump motors and the fluid level sensor and lock the red connector. Attach the washer pump hoses from the front to the rear, making sure everything is in the proper place and then connect the high-pressure headlamp washer hose by simply pushing it onto the inlet until you hear it snap. Replace the splash shield on the left right front wheelhouse, the right front wheel assembly and bring the car down from the hoist or jack stands. Attach the filler tube screw after torqueing it to 8.5 - 11.3 N.m (75 - 100 in. lbs.), then put the washer hose on the clip under the front fender side shield and at the connector in front of the cowl grille. After that, insert the engine fresh air housing into the engine compartment, attach the battery negative cable and make sure the engine and electronics are functioning properly.
