How to Install the Hood Cable on Dodge Avenger?

The first thing to do is guide the cable through the lower dash opening and along the inside of the frame frame rail. Put the rubber grommet in place on the lower dash panel and attach the hood cable with the push-in fastener. After that, connect the hood cable handle to the inner cowl panel using the screws, but tighten them to 1.8 Nm (16 in. lbs.). After that, attach the left front cowl trim panel and secure the hood cable by putting its clips into the inner frame rail. The last step is to put in the hood latch.
