Dodge Caliber Spoiler Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Detach the Spoiler from Both a NON SRT 4 and an SRT 4 on Dodge Caliber?
    A:
Pull up the Non Srt 4 liftgate, uninstall the upper lid and undo 5 body plugs and 4 nuts on the spoiler studs. Loosen the center push pin and, if your rig has one, take out the satellite wire connector. Disconnect the yellow wire from the Chmsl and take the spoiler out of the car. On the Srt 4, open the liftgate and take out the molding covering the upper part of the liftgate, come out the body plugs and remove each nut from the spoiler stud. Remove the connector from the center high mount stop lamp and, if you have satellite wiring, take out its connector as well. Take the hose from the nozzle on the wash and take out the spoiler from the back of the vehicle. In the end, clean away adhesive residue using the Super Clean solvent or an identical product.
  • Q: How to Install the Liftgate Spoiler on Dodge Caliber?
    A:
The first thing to do with a nonturbine Srt 4 is to connect the satellite wire connector before installing the liftgate spoiler. Replace the seal if it's worn out and attach the Chmsl wire back to its port. First, use alcohol to clean up the ends of the liftgate and then peel back the thin coverings from the foam spacers at the spoiler ends. Put the spoiler on your car and press the pin onto the pointed hole in the liftgate center. Next, slide on four nuts over the four spoiler studs. Add the spoiler plugs after that and place the spoiler above the spacers so the tape sticks properly on the liftgate. In the end, fit the liftgate upper molding in place. On the Srt 4, join the satellite wire to its connector, link the washer hose to the washer nozzle and connect the electrical connector to the center high mount stop lamp, making certain the harness is secured to the clip on the spoiler. Before taking off the adhesive strips, ensure all the lifting areas are clean, then attach the spoiler to the liftgate and press it down on the marked spots. Fasten each nut to a spoiler stud, attach the body plugs and put in the liftgate upper molding.
