Before adding the air bag Control Module, confirm the mounting surface is not relocated, bent or damaged to prevent putting it in wrong and possibly causing death or bodily injury. Make sure you use screws that are built to fit the project. If you find the Occupant Classification System present, don't replace both the Occupant Restraint Controller and the Occupant Classification Module at the same time. Begin by replacing the OCM first; set the ignition on and wait one minute for the air bag System to perform a test before you switch out the ORC. First, put the ORC into the vehicle and attach the wire connector. Screw the ORC into the floor bracket using three bolts and tighten them to 7.3 - 9.6 Nm (65 to 85 in.lbs.). After that, add the storage bin to the dashboard of the vehicle. Don't hook up the battery negative cable until the test of the car is complete to help avoid accidents. Once everything appears normal, start the used car, check how it drives and then shut the hood.
