To serve the auxiliary cabin heater, first, drain the engine cooling system. Take off the clamps from the lower heater port cabin heater tubes and the lower EGR connector under the hood. Also, remove the retaining clamp at the cabin heater air intake muffler connection. The next step involves removing the clamp from the flexible hose to the steel tube connection. After that, remove the two retaining screws and take out the pipe assembly. During installation, place the air intake pipe assembly in position. Tighten the 2 retaining screws to 7 N.m (62 in. lbs.). Connect the steel and flexible tubes tightly after attaching the retaining clamp. Fasten the retaining clamp and connect the flexible pipe to the cabin heater air inlet muffler. Reconnect the cabin heater tubes to the lower heater connection and to the lower EGR cooler connection and tighten the retaining clamps. Drop the vehicle down on Jack's, refill engine cooling system and check the heater unit functioning.
