Do not fold or destroy the core wire inside the cable jacket when finishing with the accelerator pedal, throttle cable or speed control cable. Have the throttle lever in the open-air position inside the engine, then pull the throttle cable out of the throttle body cam. From the inside, push the pedal and remove the cable holder and throttle cable from the tip of the pedal shank. Then, unhook the retainer clip from the throttle cable and grommet inside the dash panel and while holding the grommet in position, take out the throttle cable from the grommet. Use both thumbs to press in the retaining ears and, using light force, remove the cable from the throttle bracket. Put the housing end fitting into the dash panel grommet while at the engine compartment. After that, insert the cable housing into the bracket on the engine. In the cockpit, lift the pedal once more and slide the throttle cable and retainer over the shaft at the upper part of the pedal. At the dash panel, put the cable retainer clip between the throttle cable fitting and grommet and then, from inside the engine compartment, turn the throttle lever all the way open and place the throttle cable.
