How to Maintain a Fuel Level Sensor on Dodge Caravan?

The first step to servicing the sensor is to take out the fuel pump module. Press down on the tab holding the retaining finger to unplug the fuel pump/level sensor connector from the lower part of the electrical connector on the fuel pump module. On top of the flange, the harness on the pump module is not designed for service or removal. After that, remove the locking wedge. Use the tip of your screwdriver to raise the locking finger off the terminal and remove the terminal from the area inside the connector. Take out the level sensor signal and ground leads from the connector. Put a screwdriver between the fuel pump module and the top of the level sensor housing, then press down on the level sensor. Push the fuel level sensor wires into the connector from the top, then pull down until they are locked firmly in place with the right-placed signal and ground wires. After inserting the locking wedge on the connector, push the fuel pump module's electrical plug down into the connector and then install the module.
