Wherever possible, reattach the wheel alignment bolt in the exact position it was previously held during lower control arm replacement. Fit the lower control arm into its spot in the engine cradle and add the mounting bolt on the back. Put on the nut to the lower control arm cradle bolt without tightening it yet. Before bolting the knuckle to the lower control arm, measure the height of the ball joint seal boot found on the knuckle; if it is more than 25.5 mm, push the ball joint stud to one side, gently squeeze the seal at the center, depress it with your hand at the very top, push the stud back straight and then re-measure the height. After wiping any grease from the ball joint stud, move the knuckle downwards and place the lower control arm on the stud, guiding it into the arm. Replace the old nut on the ball joint stud with a new one and use a hex wrench and a crowfoot wrench on a torque wrench to tighten it to 68 Nm plus a turn of 90°. Place the wheel speed sensor head into the knuckle and fasten it with a screw that you tighten to 11 Nm. Attach the wheel speed sensor cable and its clip to the bracket that holds the brake flex hose routing. Add the lower shock mounting bolt to connect the shock to the lower control arm, but don't tighten it at first. Slide in the tire and wheel, bolt them firmly with 150 Nm (200 Nm for police vehicles) and then set the vehicle on its wheels. Take special care when moving the car to the alignment rack or drive-on lift since the stabilizer bar isn't connected. Raise the vehicle on the rack and tighten the bolt under the lower shock mount to 174 Nm. If the control arm engine cradle bolt is for wheel alignment, tighten only the nut without rotating the bolt head, as turning it could break the bushing. With the wheel in correct camber position, fasten the lower control arm cradle bolt nut to 176 Nm but do not turn the bolt. Always ensure the slit in the stabilizer bar bushing is facing in the direction of the vehicle's rear when you set it against the locating collar on the stabilizer bar. Install the stabilizer bar bushing retainer halves around the bushing then put in the bolts, tighten them with a torque wrench to 60 Nm. After that, fix the stabilizer bar heat shield to the space between the stabilizer bar bushing retainer and the vehicle's metal sheet, then secure everything with the screws from the kit.
