First, stick the rear of the trunk or liftgate hinge into the drain trough on your vehicle. After that, connect the hinge to the drain trough by installing the top three screws to a torque of 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.). After that, align the deck lid hinge with the bracket on the vehicle and tighten the two hinge screws to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.). Place the support cylinder onto the hinge on the back of the deck lid. Afterwards, take off the support fixture and shut the deck lid. Adjust the lid hinge placement at the last phase to ensure it operates and spacing correctly.
