How to Service a Fuel Pump Module and Replace Its Rubber Seal on Dodge Dakota?

During fuel pump module servicing, always ensure you replace the rubber seal. Put a new seal on the gasket of the fuel tank, then insert the seal with the fuel pump into the hole in the tank. After that, put the lockring (5) on top of the fuel pump module and while holding the module, turn it until the alignment arrow points to the center mark on the tank, so the float won't touch the side of the fuel tank. Keep in mind that the fuel fitting above the pump should be pointing towards the passenger side of the vehicle. Drive the lockring onto 9340 and fill the center opening with a half inch breaker bit. Twist the lockring clockwise until each notch is connected to the tire's rim. Lastly, put in the fuel tank.
