How to Service a Door Lock Actuator on Dodge Durango?

Begin the service of the power door lock actuator by disconnecting and isolating the battery's negative cable. First, remove the trim from the inner liftgate, then detach the power lock motor's two screws from the liftgate panel. Extract the power lock motor through the opening in the liftgate panel far enough to unconnect its wire connector from the liftgate wire harness. Turn the power lock motor downward to unhook the liftgate's latch link clip, then pull the motor out of the liftgate. During installation, slide the liftgate power lock motor into the liftgate from above through the access hole, attach the link from the motor to the liftgate latch link clip and slip the clip over the link. Connect the wire from the liftgate power lock motor to the wire harness, fit the motor into the liftgate and screw both screws tight to 3 Nm (30 in. lbs.). After that, put the trim panel back on the liftgate inside and attach the battery negative cable.
