How to Maintain the Door Lock Switch on the Driver's Side Front Door Trim Panel on Dodge Durango?

Before servicing the power door lock on the driver side front door trim, first cut and remove the battery's negative cable. Carefully use a trim stick or another similar wide flat tool, to raise the bezel from the driver's side front door trim panel, starting with the rear of the power window and lock switch. Pull back the bezel from the opening in the trim panel to reach the two switch connector receptacles on the back. Unplug the door wire harness connectors for the locks and windows from the switch connector receptacles and then take out the power window and lock switch bezel from the trim panel in the door. Insert a small, thin-bladed screwdriver between the snap clips at the sides of the lock switch receptacle on the back of the power window switch and gently pry them loose, then pull the switch out. When installing, set the power lock switch beside the receptacle on the back of the power window and lock switch, press down and hold it until it snaps in place. Set the power window and lock switch bezel against the opening on the passenger's side and attach the two door wire harness plugs for the power window and lock switches to the switch connector receptacles. Slot in the bezel for the power window and lock switch at the front and press on the rear until you hear it click in place. After that, join the other black battery wire to the negative battery terminal.
