To replace the front shock absorber, begin by lifting the vehicle, removing the wheel and then removing the wheel assembly. After supporting the lower
Control Arm end, take out bolt 11 and nut 3 on the upper side of the shock. After that, take off the stabilizer link 7 lower nut and part the link from the lower control arm to reach the lower shock bolt 2, followed by the removal of the shock 1. For installation, put the upper part of the shock 1 into the frame bracket first, then add nut 3 and bolt 11 and tighten all to a torque of 102 Nm (75 ft. lbs.). After that, install the lower shock 1 into the lower arm of the suspension and fasten bolt 2 so the tension is 81 Nm (60 ft. lbs.). After reattaching nut 7, pull off the support from the outboard end of the lower control arm and add the tire back on, then take out the support to drop the car.
