How to Service and Repair a Transmission Mount on Dodge Durango?

Before servicing the transmission mount, first unhook the negative cable from the battery and raise the vehicle on a lifting machine. Support the crossmember with a transmission jack and then remove the nuts holding the insulator to it. First, elevate the rear of the transmission only slightly, then pull out the bolts that hold the insulator bracket to it. If you've taken off the insulator bracket, install it again onto the transmission and tighten the bolts to 68 Nm (50 ft. lbs. After that, fasten the thru-bolt that holds the insulator onto the insulator bracket and turn the nut to 101 Nm (75 ft. lbs.) tightness. Lift the transmission then drop the rear of it and while doing that, insert the insulator studs into the bracket and fasten with the nuts, tightening them to 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.). After taking out the transmission jack, lower the vehicle and attach the negative cable back to the battery.
