Before repairing or servicing the hood cable, pull the
Hood Latch out and separate the cable end from the spot it fits into on the hood latch. Place the end of the cable case into the keyhole slot from the side, while keeping your fingers closed on the cable barb, remove the whole cable from the latch once it is aligned. After that, pull the hood release handle out of the instrument panel and free the rubber grommet cable insulator from the hole in the dash panel. To help with installation, run mechanic's wire from the latch end of the cable and run the cable back up through the engine toward the dash near the power
Brake Booster. Release the linker clips off the new and old cables and from inside the car, pass the connecting wire through the center console to the mechanic's wire becoming visible. Untie the cable from the mechanic's connection, then take out the hood cable from the car.
