Lift the gate from behind using the right device while the liftgate is in its fully up position. As required, take out the two bolts that hold each liftgate hinge to the liftgate. At the bottom of the header panel under the rear two nuts, take out 4 and 5 to remove the hinges from the panel.

After that, install the hinge in line with the roof header marks and tighten the outer bolts of the hinge to 33 Nm (24 ft. lbs.) and the center screw to 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.). After mounting, unwind the duct tape from the roof and liftgate and check that the liftgate is lined up correctly so you get the proper measurements.
