How to Service and Repair a Door Check on Dodge Intrepid?

Before you service or repair the front door check, set the door glass to the fully open position, remove the door trim panel if needed and remove the watershield as needed as well. After that, unfasten the bolts holding the check strap to the door end frame and body, then take the strap out of the car. Next, put the check strap back where it goes, fasten the bolts to the door end frame and body and secure them. In the end, mount the watershield and the door trim panel into place.
