At first, open the hood and take off the negative
Battery Cable remote terminal from the remote battery post to replace the passenger power seat switch. Always separate the battery negative wire from the rest of the circuitry before working on seat systems, especially on cars where air bags are built into the headrest and wait at least two minutes for the capacitor to dissipate to ensure the air bag stays deactivated. Then, remove the side shield from the cushion, take the switch's wiring off the terminal, pull out the knobs from the switch, undo the switching screws and pull the switch away from the cushion side shield. First, place the switch in the right spot, screw it in place, attach the knob and then join the wiring connector. Unplug the negative cable first, then remount the seat cushion side shield. Finally, reconnect the negative battery cable remote terminal to the remote battery post.
