Start the repair of the trunk or liftgate latch by opening the decklid and taking out the decklid lining or latch cover fasteners. After that, use a ratchet to remove the bolts holding the decklid latch to the decklid, then take the latch out. Unplug the power lock connector from the latch solenoid and the decklid ajar switch connector from the latch before you remove the latch from your vehicle. During installation, fit the latch on the vehicle and link up the decklid ajar switch and power lock connector to the latch solenoid.
