The first step in removing the floor console is to apply the parking brake firmly. Following that, take out the screw cover plugs located over the screws just rearward of the cup holders, and then remove the screws in the cup holders to remove the console. This will disconnect the console from the floor bracket. If the console is equipped, open the storage compartment lid and remove the screws that secure the console to the floor bracket. In case of manual transmission vehicle, remove the knob of shift lever. Remove the console by carefully lifting it upwards above the gear selector and park brake handle before pulling the console out. In the installation procedure, reposition the floor console back into the vehicle and install the screws that attach it to the floor brackets. If present, put the shift lever knob back in place and finally, release the parking brake.
