To work on and fix the front door handle, first peel off the bottom door trim panel and the door waterdam as they may stop you from reaching the handle and latch. Push the door glass in and pull the lock and latch rods off the door latch. With the first screws off, then remove the ones that hold the door handle bracket to the outer door panel. After that, remove the door handle from the vehicle. After you place the new handle in the door, put the retainer into the back of the handle and attach the screws that hold it to the outer panel of the door. Attach the lock and latch rods to the door latch, stick the waterdam on the door, then inflate at the butyl bead for a total seal. The last step is to replace the door trim panel.
