How to service and repair the battery cable on Dodge Ram 1500 Van?

Replace the battery wipes with rags, then unhook each battery cable pushpin, fastener and routing clip alongside until both cables are loose inside the vehicle and ready for removal. Once you have installed and tightened down the vehicle's battery cable, align the new battery cable beside it and fit the cable retaining pushpins, fasteners and routing clips one by one until the cable takes its correct factory position. Then connect the battery's negative terminal cable.
