When servicing or repairing the battery tray, first take out the battery and the battery temperature sensor. Remove the two screws that hold the battery tray to the bottom, take out the screws from the rear that secured the tray to the dash panel support and remove the screws from the outboard side that fastened it to the left cowl side panel. ElIminspecana and slip the battery tray and formed drain tube out together, then unbolt the extra nuts keeping the inner panel connected with the battery tray support and take out the tray support. To install, first clean and check the battery tray, then fit the battery tray support to the weld studs and hold it in place by tightening the two nuts to 22.6 Nm (200 in. lbs.). Lift the battery try onto the support and insert two screws in its outboard side, making sure they are tightened to 11.8 Nm (105 in. lbs.). Then insert two screws at the rear into the dash panel support bracket and secure them with 10.7 Nm (95 in. lbs.); lastly, insert two screws from the bottom into the tray support and tighten them to the same torque. Run the drain tube from the tray to the front of the left wheelhouse using the mounting hole and press the top of the tube into the tray. After that, stick the battery temperature sensor onto the battery tray and place the battery where it belongs.
