Take off the 4WD boot, if the car is all-wheel drive and then remove the manual extension part of the gear shift lever if the vehicle has a manual transmission. Then, if console inserts are installed, remove them and unscrew the two bolts holding the rear console to the floor. Raise the rear of the floor console to move the gear shift lever, then unscrew the two bolts and remove the front console from the floor. After that, detach the front clips and take out the mini console. Before you use a full floor console, carefully look at all the warnings and cautions first. Separate the seven front console bezels clips using trim stick C-4755 or a similar tool, lift the back of the bezel and remove it. Pull out the bolt and slide the back of the base up to free the front guide pins and then remove the front base from below. Never use the old front bolts and be sure to replace the seat belt buckle fasteners. Move the front seats to their most forward position, take out and toss the two rear bolts, pull free the 12 v connector if present, flip the seat backs forward and roll the seat assembly into the vehicle. Take out the nuts that join the console to the driver and passenger seats, then throw them away. In addition, disconnect and discard the nuts that attachment the backseats to the center console. Take out the electrical connector (if you've got one) and roll the seat forward before removing the center console. Respectively, fit the mini floor console in place, fix down the front clips and attach the two bolts at each end together with two more securing the rear console to the floor panel. Put in the inserts, attach the gear shifter extension and set up the 4WD shift boot. When the full floor console is being installed, place the center seat console onto the front seat assembly and roll it into the vehicle. Put new nuts on where the center console connects to the seats, hook up the electrical connector if your vehicle has one and tighten all the nuts to 25 N.m (18 ft.lbs.). Place new nuts on the bolts connecting the center console to both front seats and tighten them to 25 N.m (18 ft.lbs.) of torque. Secure the electrical connectors if your vehicle has them, roll the seat assembly ahead and put in new rear bolts, making sure to tighten them to 40 N.m (30 ft.lbs.) Use the 12 v power supply electrical connector if you have it, raise the backrests of the front seat, move the seats back and add new front bolts, tightening them to 28 N.m (21 ft.lbs.).
