How to install a battery tray on Dodge Ram 3500?

Before installing any other tray, secure the battery tray in place by fixing it with the retaining bolts. Followed by this, attach the ground wire for the left front fender. Then, place the battery temperature sensor in the tray. If you have the cruise servo, attach it and its retaining screws, then put in the left front wheelhouse splash shield. When necessary, hook up the anti-lock brake controller and the purge solenoid to their brackets. Attach the wire harness retainers to the battery tray assembly and then put in the Totally Integrated Power Module and the battery. For the right side, fit the battery tray assembly and bolt it in, fix the right front fender ground wire and set and fasten the air box and grid heater relay bracket. After that, attach the appropriate front wheelhouse splash shield and the battery.

How to remove a Battery Tray on Dodge Ram 3500?

The first step is to pull out the battery from where it's placed in the tray on each side. To the left, take out the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM), uncouple the wire harness from the battery tray assembly and disconnect the purge solenoid from its place on the bracket. After that, unscrew the retaining bolts for the anti-lock brake controller and secure it with mechanics wire for now as you hold it out of the way.
