When the generator cartridge fuse is bad, begin by testing the vehicle charging system before you replace the cartridge fuse and put the vehicle back in service. Before removing the generator cartridge fuse, disconnect and remove the negative
Battery Cable, then open and take out the cover of the Power Distribution Center (PDC). Third, unscrew the two screws holding the generator cartridge fuse to the two B(+) terminal stud bus bars in the PDC and take out the fuse. Place the new generator cartridge fuse on the two B(+) terminal stud bus bars in the PDC and fasten the two screws around them to 3.4 Nm or 30 in. lbs. Make sure the screws are torqued correctly and set the cover in place-fastening it to the PDC-before connecting the negative battery cable once more.
