How to service and repair the rear sliding Door Latch Assembly on Dodge Ram 3500 Van?

Service and repair of the rear sliding door latch should involve removing the door trim panel and then taking off the anti-rattle bracket tabs from the door floor. Then, unfasten both rods from the latch at the back, remove the backing screws from the door panel and take out the rear latch. To attach the rear latch, stick it into the opening of the door and bolt in the latch screws inside the door. Bring the screws up to 11 N.m (95 in. lbs.) torque after installation. Make sure to slide the anti-rattle bracket tabs into place on the door panel, fix both rods onto the rear latch and lastly, place back the trim panel.
