To separate the wiper arm, first rise the arm to lift the wiper blade from the window so the piece holding the arm pulls out, then securely release it. Do not use a screwdriver or prying tool to prevent any chance of the arm separating during use. To take out the wiper arm end from the wiper pivot, just move it slightly from one side to the other. Before you install anything, set the wiper motor into the park position by turning the ignition ON and then moving the wiper control knob to OFF. Should the wiper pivots move, just watch them until the motion subsides and then turn the ignition back to OFF. Install the wiper arms while keeping the motor in the park position, so the lower tip of the wiper arm lines up with the top edge of the lower blacked-out part of the windshield, ±25 millimeters or ±0.98 inches apart. With the wiper arm up, press the latch plate into the locked position, lower the arm just enough for the blade to clear and then slide the wiper arm down so the blade touches the glass. Apply washer fluid and turn on the wipers, next turn the wiper knob to OFF and check the wipers are in the right spot.
