Don't drive your car until the urethane is fully cured for at least 24 hours after replacing the windshield. If you have them, open the left and right front window and the rear glass slider to help prevent the vehicle from becoming pressured which might cause water to enter. Remove only the top layer (1-2 mm) of the urethane windshield bonding, as if you take away the entire seal, your paint job and bonding may suffer. Gently put the new windshield into the vehicle, making sure it is centered between the spacers and mark the outer surface of the glass at those same places. Put the windshield with the inside up on a work surface, putting two wood blocks about 75 cm apart below it. Spray the interior of the windshield with Mopar(R) Glass Cleaner and wipe it off with a clean, dry cloth, followed by applying 25 mm-wide clear glass primer around the edge and once again wiping with a fresh, dry cloth. Use the windshield trim to measure and apply black-out primer, it should be 15 mm wide up top and on the sides and you need a 25 mm gap at the bottom and let it sit for three minutes. Adjust the supports on the brackets downwards until they are level with the car, then line up the upper and side edges of seven new foam spacers against the windshield inside surface and place three more spacers above, at least 3 mm from the top edge. After shaping the urethane bead into a triangle, gently pick at the tip of the applicator. Then do a 13 mm high and 10 mm wide bead of urethane around the windshield, placing the main bead 7 mm inside the glass edge and the sides 14 mm within the glass frame. Set the a-pillar trim, then place the windshield onto the opening while a helper watches the marks on the windshield match the spacers on the car. Raise the car up and slowly lower the windshield, placing the lower corners in position and pushing it on top of the fence along the A-Pillars, always keeping the windshield to roof gap 1.5 mm to 3 mm and raising the support brackets with the handle. Use a little clean water on a sprayer to water the support spacers and use Mopar(R) Super Clean or its equivalent to remove any urethane residing on the exterior. After, install the cowl grille. Attach the support bracket and the rear view mirror to the rearview mirror, next attaching the weather strip retainer to the a-pillar. Following the curing of the urethane, lay off the masking tape and check the repair with a water test.
