Place the washer reservoir on the right side inside the engine compartment, then put the two mounting tabs into the radiator shroud's two slots. Pull the top of the washer reservoir down until the locking mechanical fastener clicks into the dent behind the radiator shroud. Place the mounting brackets on top of the radiator shroud and fasten them to the reservoir by screwing the two screws to 7 Nm (60 in. lbs.). Attach the headlamp and dash wire harness connector to its matching connector on the junction for the washer pump/motor unit and washer fluid level switch. Attach the reservoir washer hose to the barbed nipple on the inline fitting mentioned above at the engine compartment washer hose and dash wire harness and put the coolant overflow hose back on the radiator filler neck nipple. Once the washer reservoir is full, reattach the car battery's negative terminal, inspect and top up the coolant in the coolant overflow tank if needed and you're done.

How to Maintain and Fix a Windshield Washer Fluid Reservoir on Dodge Ram 3500?

Before you start servicing the windshield washer reservoir, cut off and remove the battery's negative cable. Then, remove the coolant overflow hose from the filling hole in the radiator without opening or draining the engine cooling system. Release the reservoir washer hose from the inline fitting's barbed nipple and let the washer fluid drain into a container you can use again. Release the headlamp and dash wire harness from the connector on the washer fluid level switch and from the washer pump/motor unit. Lose the two screws holding the reservoir in place, grip the bottom of the washer reservoir from above and pull the reservoir sharply upward. After the two mounting pins at the bottom release from the two slots at the bottom of the radiator shroud, you can remove the washer reservoir from the right. To fit the reservoir, install it on the right of the compartment, place and snap the tabs under the two slots on the radiator shroud and lower the setup until the locking hole is engaged. Screw each of the two screws at the top of the reservoir into the provisions on the radiator shroud until you reach 7 N.m (60 in. lbs.). Insert both headlamp and dash wire harness connectors into the respective places on the unit connector receptacles (7 and 5). Tighten the reservoir washer hose onto the radiator outlet end of the inline fitting and attach the coolant overflow hose to the radiator filler neck. Refill the washer reservoir with the fluid you drained, then reattach the battery's negative side, check the coolant level in the bottle and add coolant when needed.
